Jacquelyn spent her youth hay bale hopscotching, creek swimming, and tree climbing on a Texas ranch outside the bustling metropolis of Bluff Dale (population: 300). Great pleasure was derived from playing dress up while singing and dancing her way through herds of grazing cattle.
The University of Texas at Austin greeted her, where she picked up a degree in Radio/TV/Film as well as spending a fair amount of time on 6th Street. Sealing the traveling zeal deal, Jacquelyn studied abroad in Costa Rica and Spain. Taking advantage of Austin's full range of opportunities, she interned at the Texas Capital, Austin Film Society, and Richard Linklater's Detour Filmproduction. Lively Los Angeles called Jacquelyn in 2003, where she has worked on independent films, shorts, commercials, music videos, plays, prose, hosting, and voice over projects. She is ridiculously grateful to have discovered her love of acting, for it never ceases to be intriguing, fun, and challenging. Between projects, Jacquelyn satiates her infectious enthusiasm for learning about different cultures by traversing the globe. From Cambodia to Peru, Morocco to Croatia, exploring sustainable living practices, experiencing the people, and welcoming fantastic adventures are typically her motivators. When not engaging in general bon vivant behavior, Jacquelyn resides in Venice Beach, California. A perfect (very long) day consists of beach cruising, perusing the farmers market, gardening, hiking, writing, reading, contemplating existence, listening to KCRW, touting the merits of Heal the Bay, practicing Sun Salutations, taking the Nikon out for a spin, frolicking with friends, devising Burning Man costumes, updating the Netflix queue, and petting her cat Balka. |
